1 Corinthians 13:7

Attention! Earlier today a young girl was taken from her home in the small town of Gainesville Florida. She was last seen wearing a pink flowered jacket over her purple tank top. She is wearing blue jeans and red wizard of oze looking slippers. She was last seen playing on the playground in the back yard. She is 4 years old with blue eyes and blond hair.

The father looking through the window into the back yard, visualizing his little girl swinging on the playground, crushed him because she was not to be found. The replaying sound of the little girl crying out “daddy daddy come play with me constantly played over and over in his mind. What can I do for her? I need to find my little girl. I need to help her. I need to find my daughter before anything else happens to her.

The dad cries out to the Lord. “Dear God I can’t do this on my own. Please keep my little girl safe. There are cruel people in this world lord, but I know you can do anything. Lord I know you can bring her home safe to me. And Lord…please keep my family up strong through this trial.”

Later that night the little girl was not found. So the dad left the home with a flashlight and two of his guy friends to go on a search for his daughter. He searched for her night and day for the four days. She was nowhere to be found. “Dear God, I have the Hope and trust that you will bring my little girl home”. Please lead my foot steps to her Jesus. The dad kept persevering looking for his daughter. He lived out in the woods taking two hour naps then waking up searching for his girl. The Lord saw his hope, faith, and perseverance in looking for his daughter. Even though the dad thought he failed in protecting his daughter he loves her so much that he protects her with the faith that the lord will bring her home safely.

It’s been 5 days since the young girl has been missing. The dad is on his way home and stops by his dock where his boat is parked to sit on it and pray to the Lord. He prays the words of the bible. Once he finishes his prayer he hears little footsteps coming from behind him. They are getting louder and louder so he turns around and sees his little girl walk towards him with a big smile with not a speck of dirt anywhere.
Wow what faith the father has in searching for his little girl. he focused on the Lord through the hardest time that has ever happened in the life of being a father.

Just as the little girl’s father loved her the ultimate Father in heaven wants you! He perseveres after you, wanting you to trust him with your life. God wants you to put your hopes and want in him and let him lead your life. Will you give all to the Lord who created you?

Application: I will trust in the Lord with everything in my life. I will do anything he says because I know that he has the best plans for me.
